With over 140 medical camps already to our credit reaching nearly 25000 people, NAVODAYA Yuva Kendram (NYK) has achieved a milestone in medical care and is still going strong in this line of work. The natural disaster management is one of the chronic issues in India where the cyclones, floods and earthquakes have been most common affecting millions of people and their homes. Apart from distribution of food, medicare for men, women and children comes as a priority.
Now with the ongoing pandemic Covid-19, we are supplying masks, sanitizers and hand washing liquids among various communities to help them stay safe. We are helping them by sponsoring radio programs and tv programs to help them take care of their families.
Those affected with Covid-19, we are arranging medical equipment, transport facilities, hospital arrangements and medical care services.
So far, we have helped 25000 people through medical camps and in sourcing other medicare services and we are glad that we are able to help and contribute to our society.
NAVODAYA Yuva Kendram (NYK) has plans to work on conducting more medical camps in the near future enabling rural India to experience and access medicare facilities where currently is unreachable. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also been focusing on health policies and plans in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to make improvements in disease control, medical education, medical profession and allocation of state budgets.
